Is Youth Strong a Scout Program?
No. Youth Strong is not a scout program. We are an all-inclusive organization that allows members to form their groups any way they want. Your group can be any ages, boys, girls or both. It can be as small as you and your children or as big as your community.
Can scout troops use the Youth Strong program?
Absolutely! Most of our programming will fulfill requirements for scout awards.
Will you have more patch programs?
Yes. We will have four service related interest areas by the end of 2019 — Animal, Environment, Humanity and Community. Each one will have five sections. Each section will incorporate all five levels. During 2020 we will be introducing our Skill Building program.
What is included with membership?
Membership includes access to downloads, patch requirements and online tools. You also receive a 15% discount on all Youth Strong supplies including patches.
How do I start a group?

Is Youth Strong a Non-profit organization.
Youth Strong is owned and funded by MakingFriends.com, inc. which is a privately-owned enterprise. MakingFriends®.com is using proceeds to establish and run the Youth Strong program.
Why is the Adult Charter Membership free?
Adult membership is free in 2019 to make it possible for everyone to try our program at no risk.
What is the difference with the other Adult memberships?
The other three adult memberships — Patron, Lifetime and Family — allow people an opportunity to show their support by making a small financial contribution the the Youth Strong movement. These supporters will be given an opportunity to become Youth Strong Ambassadors. Ambassadors are given an opportunity to participate with new program development and product testing.
Why is there a $1 fee for the Youth Membership?
Many of the Youth Strong requirements have an online electronic component such as watching learning videos and using apps. Under the COPPA rule, the FTC requires that children under 18 have parental permission to be online. The $1 fee is required as documentation of parental permission.
